Let yourself be pampered - enjoy the varied programme at Burgerbad in Leukerbad. You'll find yourself in Europe's largest thermal bath, which is surrounded by impressive mountain ranges. Several swimming and spa pools, steam rooms, whirlpools and rest rooms are at your disposal. In addition you'll find fun pools and a 70-m long slide for children, as well as a 25-m Olympic pool for those with athletic ambition. All pools have a temperature of 28-42°C and contain thermal water from our springs.

Winter in Leukerbad
In winter you can enjoy going skiing on well groomed pistes, snowshoe hiking in an unspoilt winter landscape, ice skating by torchlight under a starry sky and an extraordinary cinema experience for up to two hours longer. The new public transport timetable cuts up to one hour off journey times to the largest thermal baths and spa holiday resort in the Alps.
So it's high time to switch off, relax and recharge your batteries.
Skiers and snowboarders
In the village, skiers and snowboarders have the choice of two ski lifts, or they can take the cable car to the Torrent ski area. More than 50 km of pistes, some of which have seen world-cup races, as well as the snowboard fun park provide a wealth of opportunities for pursuing your favourite hobby.
Six ski lifts and a six-passenger gondola link the Torrent and Albinen ski area. Not only ski and snowboard fans, but also panorama lovers and sun worshippers can enjoy the scenic view of the four thousand meter high summits of the Valais Alps.
We here in Leukerbad call the all-inclusive pass "Snow and spa pass". It enables you to make full use of all the facilities Leukerbad has to offer.
The all-inclusive pass gives you free access to the cableways and spas.
Cross-country skiers
From Gemmi you can take the comfortable cable car down to lake Dauben where you can leave the hectic life far behind you and enjoy the crisp snow on the 8-10 km long cross-country trail.

Regardless of whether you are looking for comprehensive training facilities or just want to be physically active during your holidays: the arena that was built in 1990 will certainly meet your requirements!
The location of Leukerbad at an altitude of 1411 m above the sea makes it an ideal training destination for enjoying the benefits of altitude training. Alternating altitude training is possible up to 2400 m.a.s.l. Leukerbad's modern sports facilities guarantee target-oriented training both in terms of fitness and technique.

Winter hiking
If you want to experience winter at close quarters and far away from the ski pistes, snowshoeing or winter hiking is the right choice for you.
40 km of groomed snowshoeing trails and winter hiking trails enable you to experience true winter magic. Regardless of what the weather is like in winter: the right equipment turns every hike into an adventure. And if you are lucky you might even see chamois in a secluded and quiet location.

Snowshoe trail on the Gemmi: From the Gemmi Pass a well signposted snowshoe trail leads to the Lämmernboden and from there via the Lämmernalpe on the Lämmerngrad further on to the Rote Kumme - Daubensee.
Length of time for big option: 4.30 / length of time for small option: 2.30
You are welcome to take your snowshoes along with you or hire them at the Gemmi.
